The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a man captured on video as he picked up a wallet belonging to someone else while inside the BP gas station, 4949 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
The victim unintentionally left his wallet on the counter on the night of April 11, 2013. This man entered the store, bought a soda, and put the victim’s wallet in his pocket before walking out. The victim returned to look for his missing wallet, but when it wasn’t found, the store owner reviewed the surveillance video and discovered what happened.
