The Charlotte County Health Department says its’ Englewood clinic is not closing, but there are changes come for low income patients. The county’s going to start working with FQHC, a private, federally qualified health care provider, who’ll be taking over primary care for uninsured and under insured residents, as well as Medicaid recipients county-wide. Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida will provide medical, dental and social services, as it already does for Lee County and part of Hendry. They’re looking for office space near the current clinic in Englewood.
