CCSO’ Major Crimes Unit detectives were called to a home in the 3100 block of Saint James Street in Port Charlotte late this morning after someone spotted a body floating in the canal behind the home. Although a name hasn’t been released, CCSO recovered the remains of a 62-year old man and they are waiting for more from the Charlotte COunty Medical Examiners office. Investigators say right now they do not suspect foul play.
