A lot owned by Sarasota County, and already being used for a farmer’s market and festivals is in line for upgrades and a new name. The Herald Tribune reports the County Commission’s approved spending up to $237,000 to create a plaza at 348 W. Green St. The lot will get sidewalks, more electric outlets, a portable stage and handicapped accessible restrooms, and three 20′ x 20′ tents.
