There’s been a settlement in the wrongful death lawsuit filed against the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office by the husband of murder victim Denise Lee. Attorneys this morning say a deal has been reached between the county and Nathan Lee. His wife, Denise, was kidnapped, raped and murdered four years ago by Michael King, who’s now on death row for the crimes. Today’s settlement amount has not been disclosed. It comes after three days of testimony and a number of talks about a possible settlement. Nathan Lee now says he hopes he and his family can just move on with their lives.
