He hit a prof and a student, but says he doesn’t remember doing it.
That’s what 19 year old Vantrell Gilliam told Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies who arrested him on Tuesday. They said he had been pulled over as he headed to Edison State College’s Charlotte County campus in Punta Gorda. When he got there, Gilliam walked into a classroom, punched his professor Douglas Houck face, knocking him down, then grabbed a female student by the hair and slammed her to the floor. She suffered two broken vertebrae and she and Houck were taken to the hospital. Gilliam was arrested and eventually taken to jail.
