A Charlotte County deputy thankful for his protective equipment today after being stabbed while answering a domestic disturbance call. Deputies arrested 53-year-old Dino Grosutti during the incident in the 300 block of Strasburg Drive in Port Charlotte last night — but not before they say Grosutti stabbed one of them in the rib area with a knife. The deputy’s ballistic vest took most of the damage, leaving him with a cut. The four-inch blade puncture the uniform shirt but not the deputy. Grosutti charged with attempted second degree murder of a law enforcement officer.
