(PUNTA GORDA) Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives continue their investigations into charges of “doctor shopping” and Tuesday arrested a fourth woman in the last 10 days. The latest arrest was Kristina Amber Webb, 29, 521 Drury Lane, Punta Gorda.

Detectives said Webb contacted five doctors in Charlotte and Lee counties and was prescribed Oxycodone and Hydrocodone prescription pills dating back to the fall of 2010. As a result of their investigation, they learned Webb was seeing various doctors to obtain narcotic medications for a specific ailment. She submitted the scripts at three pharmacies in Punta Gorda and one in Port Charlotte.

Webb is charged with two felony counts of Withholding Information from a Practitioner and was transported to the Charlotte County Jail where she remains on $5,000 bond. This is her fifth booking.

The other three recent doctor shopping arrests by detectives were Sharika Shanika Smith, 28, 19977 Midway Blvd., Port Charlotte; April May Poore, 38, 29430 Jones Loop Road, Punta Gorda; and Dawn Raye McMannis, 41, 21194 Felton Ave., Port Charlotte.
