Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested 37-year-old Kenneth Lorne Crosby, of 1906 Livingstone Street, Sarasota, on one count of Attempted Robbery with a Firearm for the attempted bank robbery that occurred on December 20th at the Wells Fargo bank located at 8595 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
After releasing bank surveillance video of the suspect, detectives received numerous tips about the suspect’s identity. Crosby, seen in the video with bleached blond hair, had dyed it in an attempt to avoid detection, dyeing it again after the robbery attempt.
Detectives executed a search warrant at Crosby’s residence earlier today and recovered additional evidence linking him to the robbery.
