Three suspects in jail today, another will be when he’s released from a hospital, after a botched home invasion in Charlotte County. Officers say several men broke into a house in the 11200 block of First Avenue South in South Punta Gorda Heights. The homeowner opened fire on them with a hand gun, which caused them to flee. He told deputies he had hit one of them. Three men later arrested; a fourth hospitalized with a gunshot wound in the neck.
