Last year’s red tide outbreak continues to impact the Suncoast, the latest impact being felt on area fishermen.

At their May meeting yesterday, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission extended a number of fisheries management conservation measures.

Starting next week, snook, red drum, and spotted seatrout will all remain catch-and-release only through May 31st, 2020.

That applies from the Pasco-Hernando line all the way south through Collier County.
