West Villages residents continue their offense in an effort to simply change their zip code. Residents have continued an onslaught on the post office and Congressman Tom Rooney in an attempt to keep from having to switch their zip codes from A Venice area code to North Port. 2,200 West Villages residents have signed a petition in an effort to keep the Venice zip code. A representative of the postal service said there is currently no plan to make changes. One consistent concern about the change is that property values could change of the Venice zip code is changes to North Port.
