A witness to the attempted kidnapping of a woman and stabbing of the attacker in North Port has come forward. The unidentified woman said she heard the victim screaming while what appeared to be a man grabbing her from behind. The victim was ambushed at knife-point by John Ludwick, who is named in connection with the Natalee Holloway missing person case. He was stabbed by the victim during the altercation and was found a short time later with life-threatening wounds. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
