An authorized burn broke containment this afternoon, according to the Florida Forest Service. The fire has burned five acres in Fort Myers in the area of Penzance Boulevard. That sits between Six Mile Cypress Parkway and I-75. The Florida Forest Service said that the fire is 80 percent contained but under control. No structures are currently in danger.
