A welfare check on a couple that appeared to have fallen asleep in an Englewood parking lot led to the discovery of a stolen car and a whole lot of drugs. According to a release from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a parking lot on McCall Road around 430 Monday morning. Inside the car, they found 26-year old Tiffany Williams sleeping in the driver’s seat, and 25-year old Tyler Wilson asleep on the back seat of a blue Volkswagen. After running the plate, they found the car had been reported stolen out of North Port. Inside a backpack in the car, deputies found meth, a pipe, a large amount of pills, as well as fentanyl patches. Both now face a long list of drug and theft charges.
