Organizers are saying that this year’s Englewood Beach Waterfest was bigger and better than last year, when the event began. Racefest participation grew from 40 boats to 48 boats as racers competed for the National Points Powerboat Championships on Saturday and the World Championship on Sunday. Choppy water provided excitement for the fans as boats were skipping off the waves on Sunday. There were also two collisions but no one was hurt.
