About 1,500 gallons of reclaimed wastewater spilled in Venice on Thursday afternoon.
According to a news release from the the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, a valve on a reclaimed water line failed yesterday.
City crews were dispatch to the intersection near Bird Bay Circle and Bird Bay Drive around noon Thursday.
In all, nearly 1500 gallons spilled, but a vacuum truck was able to recover 500 gallons.
This is the third reported spill in Sarasota County this month.
