A power outage on Saturday led to a wastewater spill. Around 700 gallons of partially treated wastewater overflowed at a lift station in Rotonda Lakes near David and Ingram Boulevards. County utilities staff responded in minutes to contain the water on site and stop the overflow. No direct waterways were impacted by the spill. Crews were forced to use a bypass generator until power was restored. In keeping with State law, staff reported it to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
