A Venice woman was seriously injured after a crash along I-75 Friday night. Police say traffic was moving southbound near mile marker 181 when things began to slow down. One driver, 27-year old Michael Henning of Port Charlotte, failed to stop in time, rear-ending an SUV being driven by 63-year old Janet Bell of Venice. The crash spun her vehicle onto the shoulder, where it then flipped over. She was airlifted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital in serious condition. The crash also involved another car- that driver did not have any injuries. Henning was charged with careless driving.
