The Wildlife Center of Venice is jammed full of animals who came in after Irma, Among them, more than 200 baby squirrels. Officials at the wildlife center say squirrels usually have several nests that mothers carry babies from one to the other, but when heavy storms come through, the nests get blown out of the trees. The Wildlife Center is urging any residents who may come across a baby squirrel to simply keep it warm and call the center for assistance. For some of the newborn babies, they could be nursed and treated at the wildlife center for as long as three months.
