A man working as a security guard at the Venetian Golf and River Club in Venice is facing charges after allegedly downloading child pornography while at work. 32-year old Dennis Pomroy was arrested and charged with transmission of obscene material. Detectives traced the IP address used to download 29 files to the guard house of the main gate of the golf club. Police were able to trace the club’s employee sign-in logs to identify Pomroy as the suspect. During a shift last week, police went to the guard house and searched the laptop and found evidence of the files. Pomroy is now being held at the Sarasota County jail on a $25,000 bond.
