Some roads in the city of Venice are in line for an upgrade. On January 3rd, Sarasota County will begin resurfacing about 14 miles of roadway. They are mostly local roads plus Airport Road, Avenida del Circo and Beach Road. Venice will be in charge of maintaining the local roads with the county taking responsibility for the other three. The project is expected to take 60 days or less at a cost of one-point-one million dollars. The money is coming from an 18-million dollar bond that voters approved last month.
