A high speed chase Friday night through Venice -eventually- ended in the arrest of a local man.
21-year old Gavin Hill was wanted in connection with a carjacking on Friday night at a Sunoco station on Tamiami Trail.
After leading police on a chase down I-75 and crashing the car at the Clark Road exit, he fled into the Camelot Lakes subdivision, where he temporarily escaped.
Police found him midday on Saturday and took him into custody.
