There could soon be another hotel in the island of Venice after an application was submitted under the Marriott name for a Sheraton hotel.
The hotel would be on U.S. 41 right across from the Village on the Isles Continuous Care Complex, according to ABC-7.
Project engineers this week told the Venice Planning Commission the hotel plans have been in the works for nearly three years.
The Planning Commission has approved the project- it will now go before the City Council for a rezoning hearing.
