Residents in one Venice neighborhood are voicing their concerns to police about speeders in the area. Parents along Nokomis Avenue say without stop signs, people increasingly go faster and faster through the area. NBC-2 caught up with Venice Police on Tuesday as they were wrapping up a traffic study in which they recorded the speed of every car that went past. After averaging the speed of 57 cars, police said the average speed of 25…although the officer on scene said the speed was likely lowered since they saw a marked police cruiser. Parents are asking for stop signs or speed bumps to curtail some of the speeding.
