After pressure from parents, boosters, and sponsors, John Peacock is returning as the head football coach at Venice High School.
He had been fired from his coaching position back in April after it was found that he ‘liked’ a derogatory Tweet aimed at a rival coach, Braden River’s Curt Bradley.
A letter announcing the re-hire from principal Eric Jackson said that Peacock’s “recent demonstration of remorse and his willingness to be a more supportive and cooperative colleague to his coaching peers as well as to those he competes against is encouraging.”
