Two Venice Police Department Civilian Police Service Aids are being hailed as heroes after saving a man who was suffering from cardiac arrest. Willy Acosta and his partner Jose Luna were out patrolling parking areas when they saw the man lying between cars. After one shock from a defibrillator and a round of CPR, the man came to and was conscious by the time EMTs arrived. The unidentified man is now recovering at a local hospital. City leaders are working out a way to honor the two aids.e to become law.
