Venice-based Agape Flights is taking more than 21,000 pounds of goods from the Suncoast over to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico. The nonprofit received a large donation from the Midwest Food Bank of diapers, paper towels and generators. One volunteer, Jose Crespo, told ABC-7 his family is on the west side of the island, and from what he’s been told, food and water have been scarce, and power remains out across much of the country. The goods will take off for Puerto Rico later today and will be given to local churches for them to distribute.
