The City of Venice next month is starting their second phase for the city’s automated trash pick-up. 3,000 new cans will go out in the middle of February in Capri Isles, East Venice Ave., Colonial Manor, East Gate, East Gate Terrace, Edgewood, Villages of Milano and Toscano Isles. Residents who get a new can are asked to use it immediately, and place the old one on the curb to be picked up. The third phase of the trash collection will add 3,000 more homes in 2019 and the fourth phase will be in 2020 in smaller neighborhoods. Collection will remain two days per week.
