Venice-based Tervis was chosen to represent Florida at a Made in America Product Showcase at the White House on Monday. Donald Trump is hosting the event to help send his message of putting America First. A statement from the White House said that by bringing 50 companies from 50 states to showcase a product made here, it “reaffirms this administration’s commitment to further encourage manufacturing in the United States that will further stimulate the economy and create jobs.” Tervis employs about 700 people at its Venice headquarters.
