The University of South Florida in St. Petersburg is apologizing after hundreds of acceptance emails to prospective students had to be recalled. On Saturday, around 430 emails were sent out to applicants, telling them they had been accepted to the university. The university says those emails were sent by mistake and are citing human error. About an hour after the acceptance emails were sent out, the university sent a second email explaining the mistake. The university says it is now planning to reach out to each individual student who received the incorrect email to apologize and βto discuss possible pathways for admission to USF St. Petersburg in the future.β
