University of South Florida’s St. Petersburg campus president has resigned before some say she was set to be fired in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Sophia Wisniewska is no longer the president of the St. Petersburg campus. In a story in the Tampa Bay Times, it was noted that Wisniewska remained on campus while even else was ordered out, including a handful of students on Sept. 9. University officials stated that she created a safety risk to the students.
