Two people wanted in connection with a series of thefts across the southeast were arrested in Crescent City and Bradenton on Friday.
Police say James Lilly pawned stolen items in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina and is the primary suspect behind the theft of a trailer with construction equipment on Longboat Key and two vehicles from a car dealership in Venice.
He was arrested over the weekend in South Bradenton after police found the stolen SUV pulling the stolen trailer.
A woman that was Lilly, Serena Heidkamp, was also charged. Both remain behind bars at the Sarasota County Jail.
