Police and rescue crews were called out to the scene of a boat crash in the Intracoastal Waterway in Venice yesterday afternoon. Police say two men were piloting the boat when the driver beached the 25-foot boat on the shore, causing the boat to tip over and the two men to be tossed off the deck. Both made it to shore safely before crews even got on the scene. They were taken to Venice Regional Bayfront Health with minor injuries. An investigation into what caused the crash is ongoing.
