Two people were injured after a Christmas Day crash at the intersection of Toledo Blade road and Hillsborough Boulevard in Charlotte County. A report from Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a North Port man, 25-year old Neel Jimenez ran the red light, hitting a car driven by a 64-year old Port Charlotte man. Jimenez was airlifted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The other driver was taken to the North Port location of Sarasota Memorial. His passengers were treated at the North Port location for minor injuries.
