One person was hospitalized after a pair of fires broke out at a Charlotte County nursing home. Fire crews were initially called to Consulate Healthcare on 18480 Cochran Blvd. yesterday afternoon when a smoke alarm went off. A small fire broke out in a patient bed- at least 110 people had to be evacuated. Just as they were clearing the smoke, another fire broke out in a separate wing of the nursing home. Employees were able to put that fire out. Both are now being investigated.
