Two families lost their homes as residents of a Bonita Springs apartment duplex were forced to evacuate early this morning due to a fire. The fire began burning around 1:30 a.m. at the Polynesian Village Apartments along South View Drive off of Bonita Beach Road. Nobody was in the apartment that caught fire, but those around it were evacuated as the duplex is now unlivable.
