Two people accused of being connected to the murder of a 31-year-old man in Lehigh Acres and then burying his body were in front of a judge Sunday. 21-year-old Nathan Ortiz and 20-year-old Aria Armstead were arrested Saturday and face charges of tampering with evidence. Armstead faces a second-degree murder charge. She received a bond of $950 thousand and has been ordered to stay away from a list of places that may contain evidence. She is also prohibited from contact with Ortiz. The deceased, Matthew Eugene Collins, was last seen October 12th. Collins’ vehicle was recovered with blood in the car and a bullet hole in the front windshield on Oct. 18 in Lehigh Acres. His body was found in Lehigh Acres in a shallow grave across the street from where Armstead and Ortiz live.
