Two people died after a fiery crash on I-75 in Sarasota County.
It happened early Saturday morning near mile marker 212. Police say the driver of a 2006 Chevy was driving south in the northbound lanes when he hit another car head-on.
According to police, the Chevy got onto I-75 at University Parkway before crashing near the Fruitville Road exit. The man who was hit, 46-year old Joseph Wolanin of Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene.
