Two arrests have been made in Tuesday’s fatal accident that claimed the life of a bicyclist who was hit by a vehicle. The deceased has been identified as 78-year-old Mickey Johnson. The accident happened Tuesday morning when Johnson was crossing the southbound lanes of US 41 Bypass at Eagle Point Dr. and was hit by the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle is Anthony Alexander and it is believed that he was operating the vehicle without a license. He has been charged with driving with a suspended license causing death, perjury and giving false information to a police officer. Cooper Dillon, who initially claimed he was driving has been arrested for perjury and giving false information to the police. Both men have since bonded out of jail.
