The tax bill signed by President Donald Trump has allowed Florida Power and Light to delay its billing of customers for restoring power after Hurricane Irma. The utility is expected to collect in the neighborhood of $1.3 billion, but has decided that understanding the new tax bill will be the first step. Customers are being made aware that bills for Hurricane Irma-related repairs and restoration will likely come in March. There has been no estimate as to what customers, either residential or commercial, will pay.
