We have an update on the boy that a vehicle hit in North Port yesterday afternoon.
Police now say five-year-old Sawyer Gordon has died.
They claim it happened as he rode his bike in front of a truck at Wampee Drive and Tropicaire Boulevard.
A Bayflite helicopter took Gordon to Bayfront Health St. Pete.
WBBH-TV reports he later died at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
Police say Gordon did not wear a helmet.
They have not filed any charges.
