The city of Fort Myers announced today that it has found a landing spot for the toxic sludge on South Street. Dump trucks will now be hauling the unwanted material to the Clark Environmental, Inc. facility in Mulberry, Florida. Once there, the sludge will be blended with sawdust and cement and taken to Cedar Trails Landfill in Bartow, Florida. The city’s plans to take the sludge to Alabama fell through after the company that owns the facility there determined the material would not work for them:
