Nine of North Port’s top government employees earn salaries this year combining for close to a million dollars.
However, the Herald-Tribune reports none of these people have received written performance evaluations in years.
The people involved include the assistant city manager, the police and fire chiefs, the economic development coordinator, and five department heads.
While many other local governments require annual evaluations of most or all non-union employees, North Port has no policy in place.
