A two-year-old boy was rescued by his grandfather from a swimming pool in North Port Thursday morning. The Herald-Tribune reports the child had been in the pool at a residence on South Sanford Boulevard for about a minute before the grandfather found him. Upon being pulled out of the pool, the boy spit up water and food and began to cry. He was airlifted to a hospital for precautionary reasons and was in stable condition.
