Sarasota County’s fire stations will be renovated over the next few years, with a new one going under construction later this year near the Celery Fields on Palmer Blvd.
Of the county’s nearly two dozen stations, less than a handful will be getting overhauled- one in Siesta Key on Beach Road, and Fire Station 8 near I-75 and Bee Ridge Road will both be knocked down and rebuilt.
In all, the projects are expected to take around two years.
