Three people were killed after a crash Tuesday afternoon in Englewood. Police were called to the intersection of Gasparilla Road and Marathon Boulevard just before 5pm. Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol say an elderly Maine man pulled out at a stop sign in front of an Englewood man.

The driver of that car, 80-year old Alban Bianco, was pronounced dead at the scene, as were two others- 82-year old Raymond Lapointe of Michigan and 73-year old Rebecca Hlavasa of Port Charlotte.

The Englewood man, 33-year old Hugo Garrido-Cruz, was not injured.
