The Suncoast Blook Bank has an urgent need for both blood and platelet donations, due to Hurricane Michael. Right now, blood banks in the path of the storm are not able to accept donations and it could be days before they are able to re-open.
Blood banks in the affected areas are now relying on donors from other areas, including Sarasota and Manatee counties.
