Teacher’s Attempted Murder & Suicide

The Sarasota County School District will have grief counselors available for students and staff of Heron Creek Middle School in North Port this morning. That after police say a teacher killed herself after shooting her husband, who survived, in an attempted murder and suicide. North Port police say they found 46-year-old Holly “Morgan” Fisher, 46, dead at her home on Doblins Road shortly after midnight Saturday. They also found her husband, 46-year-old Jason Fisher, with a gunshot wound to the hand an chest. He was hospitalized in stable condition. Fisher taught 6th grade world history. She and her husband have three teenage children.
