A real-life Jaws situation happened to a swimmer in the gulf over the weekend. The shark sighting happened between the North Jetty in Venice and Nokomis Beach, according to the Venice Gondolier. Witnesses say the shark was around five feet long and people on the beach were able to alert the swimmerof the shark’s presence. The swimmer then changed directions and made it back to shore safely.
